The Minister of State Treasury of the Republic of Poland contributes shares of Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 S.A. to Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ).
WZL1, basing on state-of-the-art technologies, innovative solutions and highly skilled, experienced personnel, provides maintenance, repairs, major overhauls modifications and upgrades of the Mi family helicopters (Mi-8, Mi-14, Mi-17, Mi-24), major overhauls of the TW3-117 turboshaft and SO-3W jet engines, periodic maintenance of the TS-11 ISKRA jet trainers, services for commercial aviation, composite structures manufacturing, production of wire harnesses, electroplating and painting, metrology, machining, Non-Destructive Testing and many other services.
Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 S.A., as a rapidly growing company, is fully aware that implementing new technologies is a must, so R&D activities are one of our priorities. Currently, we work in several areas directly related to helicopters operations. Coming across expectations of our customers and the growing advanced technology market, our experts, either on their own, or in partnership with other entities, develop innovative projects that provide a competitive advantage to our services. Moreover, basing on analyses of new trends in the aerospace industry, the company has been developing new competences in the area of composite technologies for a couple of years. We also participate in programmes run by the world-class aerospace manufacturers as well as in R&D programmes conducted by Polish research enterprises and manufacturing companies.
